The FIT™ line retains and enhances the vehicles factory installed color display radio with the addition of 3D navigation maps w/ audible turn-by-turn directions and the ability to add a color back-up camera for safety. Several of the latest GM models even include and HDMI input for your smartphone media and a USB port for charging. This is accomplished via a precision engineered electronics module that communicates with the factory LCD display. In some models the integration takes on an even more advanced level of integration by replacement of the low-res, non-touchscreen, factory display with a new hi-res, color touchscreen, LCD display.
Factory Interface Technology (FIT™) provides a means to integrate additional capabilities into the factory installed display radio systems. Each system includes advanced navigation with 3D US maps, visual and audible turn-by-turn directions in 5 languages, an 11 million points-of-interest library, green routing, automatic detour and speed limit alerts with 5 language options. An added feature is the ability to incorporate a color back-up camera into the system that will automatically toggle on when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. A few models also include an HDMI and USB charging port.
